Home for the Holidays:

A friendly reminder regarding the rules concerning decorating during the holidays.  Decorations are not permitted on the outside of residential doors or in the hallways.  Decorate to your heart's content inside your home.  The following information comes from our Project Handbook:

Holiday Decorations

  1. The acceptable time frame for winter holiday decorations is from the day after Thanksgiving until January 10th. All other decorations may be displayed no more than 15 days prior to the day of the holiday, and must be removed within 7 days after the holiday. Residents who do not comply will be sent a violation notice.

  2. All holiday lighting must have a UL or comparable rating. Outdoor lights must be designed for outdoor use. No Resident may place holiday decorations on plants in the Common Area or Association Property. Please insure that holiday lights do not disturb other Residents.

Christmas Trees

  1. Do not dispose of Christmas trees in trash chutes.

  2. Only fire retardant Christmas trees are permitted as requested by the Fire Department.

Take the Time

Get to know your neighbors.  As a community within a community it is good to know who shares your floor.  While you may not want to spend much time with your neighbor (or maybe you do) it is always a good thing to know who your neighbor is for the sake of security in the building.  Whenever you are suspicious of a possible intruder always take the time to report your suspicions to the lobby desk.

What bugs you at the Pinnacle ?

Do you have a pet peave about the Pinnacle?  Are you experiencing problems in your home?  Is there something you would like changed or improved at the Pinnacle?  Share those concerns by visiting the HOA website and clicking on Feedback.

Home Flood Protection

All homeowners are reminded of the importance of protecting each and every unit from flooding.  Water is the # 1 cause of damage in high-rise buildings.  Because of the complexities of plumbing in a building such as ours no one can be too careful.  Devices are available that will monitor water leaks and that will also shut off water valves.  Information regarding such devices will be made available on our website.  If you are experiencing any plumbing problems contact John at Pinnacle international.  231-7072

Call Erica

Pinnacle LLC has hired a new customer service representative. Her name is Erica.   231-7072

Parking Stickers

You are reminded to please pick up the new parking stickers with the distinctive Pinnacle Palm Tree logo.  These stickers need to be place on the driver side of the windshield.  This is important because this will help all of us when it is necessary to determine if a vehicle is illegally parked in our garage, or has lights on or some other problem.

Emergency Phones

Emergency phones will be installed at the pool area and in the exercise room with a direct connection to 911.

What's Happening Downtown ?

For up-to-date news on downtown living visit www.Viva-city.info  This is the place to get the latest information on what's happening in downtown.

Quiet Zone is still coming

It will be a whole lot quieter at night around here beginning early next year.  When work begin on the bluffs in Del Mar all railroad activity will cease between Del Mar and San Diego from the hours of 10:00 pm - 5:00 am five days a week for several months, so we have been told.  And during that time work will commence on making the long awaited Quiet Zone a reality.  Check out www.quietzonesd.info for the latest information.

Season tickets to the Padres?

Jim Roberts & Julie Dillon have Padres Founders' Seats that they would like to split with someone for the 2007 season.   If you are interested just give Julie a call at  338-8195.

Laundry Closets

One homeowner has made the excellent suggestion to install or have installed rollers underneath your washer dryer units for easy movement in cases of emergency.  Also reinforced hoses are essential.  Everyone should have those installed.  A questionnaire is being prepared and will be mailed out to homeowners regarding water  related issues and our laundry closets.

Entrance to Garage

For anyone who experienced the frustration of not being able to open the garage door at night with their clicker we are happy to report that is a problem of the past.  It took some super sleuthing to find out what the problem was.  Turns out that it was a light bulb.  Yes - the interference was from a light source and that is why the problem only occurred at night.

Home Improvements & Remodeling

All homeowners are reminded that they are required to obtain approval for any structural changes made in their homes.  If in doubt always speak with our facility director first.  Homeowners are also reminded that each of us must take responsibility for anyone we hire to do work in our units.  And under no circumstances are trash chutes to be used for removing construction debris.
