Next Board Meeting tentatively set for
June 2, 2006
Mark Your calendars

Minutes from the April 20 Board Meeting will be posted on the website as soon as they are received.

From your Editor - Hi everyone.  The kinks continue to get worked out, changes are being made to individual units according to individual tastes, commercial space on the ground floor of our building continues to undergo a transformation in preparation for tenants.  The first to open for business is Vertical Village, no stranger to most of us at the Pinnacle.   Our Board and Committees (ALL Volunteers) continue to work hard in our behalf.  Be sure to let these folks know that you appreciate the time and effort they put forth to make the Pinnacle Tower the exceptional home we have all been promised by the developer.  Parking for guests is one of many issues the Board is working on.  Traffic control is another.  And Safety yet another.  Concierge At Large is now providing service in our lobby.  Get acquainted.  Be sure to read the CAL Newsletter which can be found on our homeowner website.

There is a lot of news and information contained in this edition of the Pinnacle Tower News.  You may want to print it out and grab a cup of coffee or tea and have a good read.  I was going to include a summary of the April Board Meeting in this edition but since I was unable to attend have decided to let the minutes speak for themselves when they are ready.

Have a great time at the Pinnacle Margaritaville Party on Friday, May 5!  I am in Borrego Springs enjoying much needed R & R so will be unable to join you.  I am sure that a great time will be had by all.

Remember - the most important thing we can do as residents of the Pinnacle Tower is to communicate with one another.  We have a great community here and the friendliness is very evident as we meet and greet each other daily.  If I have forgotten to include something in this edition I will plead a "Senior Moment" and ask that you email me again to include in the next edition.

Sincerely,

Pat McArron

PS  This edition is being sent to you from Borrego Springs, hence the different email address.  Enjoy.

Michael De Cotiis -
Met with the Pinnacle Tower Board of Directors in closed session on April 20, 2006.  He is now aware first hand of our concerns.  Stay tuned.

A Fond Farewell - Richard Amberry provided us with his kind demeanor and thoughtful words for the last time in April.  He wants everyone at the Pinnacle Tower to know what a pleasure it was to be of service to everyone as our concierge during the transition period as we moved in to our new home at the Pinnacle Tower.  Realizing the challenges of such a job Richard handled it with grace and candor.  As many of you already know Richard was no stranger to this demanding work.  He served as Concierge at the Horizon Towers just prior to joining us at the Pinnacle.

Richard you will be missed and know that we all appreciated your attentiveness to us these past several months.

Richard and his wife will be vacationing in Mexico for a few weeks.

Modifications to our units - The members of the Architectural Committee ask for your patience regarding approvals for modifications to our units.  30 - 45 days is a realistic response time.  The members of the committee, all volunteer homeowners, are doing their best to respond as quickly as possible to requests.  Know that they are working in the best interests of all of us and deserve our support for the work they do on our behalf.

Trash Chute - Be vigilant.  Follow the directions for proper use and report any infractions.  Subcontractors in the building, as many of you already know, have had no regard for the condition of our Trash Chute.  Anyone known to abuse the chute will be fined for damages.

Sound transmits..(continued) -  Loud parties are unacceptable.   Please be a conscientious neighbor by keeping your media equipment at acceptable sound levels.  There have been several complaints of excessive noise from parties in the building.  Avoid the embarrassment of staff showing up at your door to ask you to "tone it down".  Everyone's cooperation is appreciated.  Life in a condo has many different requirements from that of a home with no connecting walls, floors or ceilings.

Hotel San Diego now only a memory - At 8:05 am on a cool April 15 morning many of us at the Pinnacle Tower had ring side seats of the largest implosion in San Diego history.  Nothing more than rubble now - the area once occupied by the John D Spreckels built Hotel will be the site of a new Federal Courthouse.  For the time being those of us living on the north side of the tower now have an unobstructed view all the way beyond Broadway.

Ventilation on 2nd Floor
- HFAC has been hired by Pinnacle to fix ventilation problems on  2nd floor.  As you are all well aware - Ventilation in the Exercise Room and in the area of the Steam & Sauna Rooms has been non-existent.  Hopefully this will be remedied soon.

Trainer anyone?  Neighbor Joyce is looking to share her trainer & split the cost...contact Joyce at  546-8075

Plumbing - Caution is the word.  Always exercise caution regarding the plumbing in your unit.  Again last month there was an unfortunate situation with a toilet that led to damage to a few units in the tower.  Never leave your unit with any water running.  Before leaving your unit make certain that your dishwasher and your clothes washer and your toilets are NOT running.  CAUTION is the word.

Website Update:  Audit Report for fiscal year 2005 is now on the website, located under Documents.
