Board Meeting
- All homeowners are encouraged to attend this very
important meeting and to voice your concerns. The Executive
Session of the meeting begins at 5:00pm followed by Open
Session at 6:30pm. If you were at the February Meeting you
are well aware of several of the pressing issues our HOA is
facing in these early stages of occupancy of the Pinnacle
Tower. Your participation in this meeting is very
important.
Joint
meeting with the Children's Museum -
This morning at 10:00 am there was a joint
meeting of the Pinnacle HOA, Pinnacle builder & the Children's
Museum. The purpose of this meeting was to begin discussions on
how to resolve security and restricting parking access to
homeowners and patrons & employees of the future Children's
Museum. Present
at this meeting were: Pinnacle Tower homeowners Karen McElliott,
Brett Schaffter, Jim Roberts, Chris
Eddy, Ken Hawkins & Jose Figueroa; & our facility director -
Richard Giondomenico; representing the Pinnacle builder - Apriano
Meola; representing the Children's Museum - Kay Wagner, Executive
Director & Carolyn Clark, Capital Campaign Director;
& president of Parking Management Systems,
LLC - Mario Herbelin Canelas. Issues discussed: Parking access,
pedestrian access, & Kiosk placement. This will be an ongoing
discussion.
Pinnacle
Construction Office has moved - By
now you have probably noticed that the Construction Office has
moved from its temporary location on the mezzanine floor to one of
the commercial units at 540 Front St. Phone numbers remain the
same. Perhaps Pinnacle Intl could be more creative with the
window above our main entry other than paper.
Concierge Services
- Richard Amberry wants you to know that
he has made arrangements for Same Day Shoe Shine Service
- contact Richard Amberry for the details.
Website
Update - A Calendar page has
been added to our website that lists activities at the Pinnacle
Tower. Also added are short bios of our Board members and
Committee Chairs. The Community Connection Page has been expanded
to include more useful links and phone numbers. CC&R's, Minutes,
& Financials & other documents for the website are still pending.
Once received they will be posted to the website.
Save the Date -
our newly formed Social Committee announces
that our first HOA social event will be a Cinco de Mayo
celebration [food, drink and entertainment too] on May 5.
More Padres
Tickets -
I would like to get on the
Padre ticket bandwagon. I also have season tickets in
the Founders Club and can never use them all. I have two tickets
just in front on Julie Dillon and Jim Roberts. Section L Row 6
Seats 8-9. My contact information is
k.mcelliott@cox.net.
Venting - revisited
- The good news is that
(depending on just how much you run your clothes dryer) the
secondary vents seem to be doing the job of catching the lint that
is not caught in the dryer. This picture is of the outside
vent plate and after 6 months of use their is little evidence of
lint or moisture. Periodic cleaning of these third vents is
still recommended where accessible.
Reminders & Updates from
our Facility Director:
Parking on P1 -
Richard Giondomenico
has asked that we convey to you that effective immediately P1 is
off limits to homeowners & residents. With impending construction
of the Children's Museum and the fact that P1 is not for homeowner
parking it is imperative that all homeowners and residents park in
their assigned parking spaces. On P1 their are more than 70
parking spaces which belong to the Children's Museum.
Parking Level Containers
- Everyone is advised to only put small bags
of recycling materials into the parking level containers. Any
big bags or boxes that will NOT fit into the containers must go to
the recycling room by the loading dock. Thanks for your
assistance.
Elevator Access(continued) - There
continues to be a problem with the security of our elevators and
work is ongoing to resolve the problems associated with computer
programming. As per the decision of the HOA members the system
is to be set to provide residents access to any floor when using
your fob. More on this ongoing problem in future newsletters.
Storage
Problem - Homeowners Ann &
Merritt Corren ask for your patience and understanding regarding
the mess in their parking space on level P2. Their storage closet
(which is adjacent to their parking space) was flooded and they
have lost many valuable and irreplaceable items. According to Ann
& Merritt they have been talking to Pinnacle Intl for over 11 days
trying to resolve the problem. They would like all of you to know
that they are trying to resolve this situation as quickly as
possible.
Stormy
Weather
-
As you can see from this picture of our Lap
Pool, we had some stormy weather. The furniture actually
landed in our pool twice. It was retrieved and then safely
stored out of harms way until the latest storm finally blew
through.
And speaking of
our pool deck
- Everyone is reminded to please exercise courtesy and caution
when using our common areas after being in the water. Wet
clothes & towels must be contained so as not to drip on
interior floors, carpeting & in the elevators.
Ralph's Sidewalk Patio
- The
CENTRE CITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE (CCAC) LONG
RANGE PLANNING SUBCOMMITTEE met on Monday, March 6, 2006 and to
discuss in part the Ralph’s Grocery Store Outside Patio. There
have been numerous complaints from downtown residents regarding
the lack of cleanliness and security at their outside patio. CCAC
encourages downtown residents to write to Ralph's Grocery Store &
their parent company Kroger to express their concerns. http://www.ralphs.com/contactus.htm
An official letter of concern is being drafted and will be sent to
Kroger headquarters.
Stay in touch with one
another. Communication remains a top priority at the Pinnacle
Tower.
