Callison's suggestion to incorporate a small, five-star hotel, which allows the apartments to be sold as high-end serviced condominiums, made the project financially feasible.

The future home of KUSI-TV occupies a prominent site in San Diego’s Marina District. Callison vacated a portion of a city street to create a major public plaza and strengthen the connection between the nearby children’s park, trolley stop, and convention center.
